DANIEL ROSEN | Managing Partner
Daniel founded Sphaeris Capital Management LLC in 2014. He has been an investment professional and advisor for over 20 years.
Prior to founding Sphaeris, Daniel was Director of the Global Acquisitions Group in the Private Equity division at Apollo Management (NYSE: APO), an alternative asset manager. From 2011 to 2014, Daniel oversaw a team sourcing and executing add-on acquisitions, corporate sales and platform investments for Apollo-owned companies and private equity and credit funds.
Prior to 2011, Daniel had been a Principal with G.C. Andersen Partners, a merchant bank led by former senior executives of Drexel Burnham Lambert. Previously, he was Vice President at the Sapir Organization, a private investment firm then with $3 billion in assets under management. Daniel previously held positions at private equity and M&A firms in New York.
Daniel has served on the board of various private companies and philanthropic organizations. He received his J.D., with a concentration in International & Comparative Law, from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. Daniel received his B.A. in International Relations from Clark University, magna cum laude. Daniel holds or has held Series 7, 63 & 79 licenses and law licenses in New York and Florida.
JAMES KIM | Managing Director
James has over 15 years of experience, working in private equity investing, M&A, and capital raising.
Previously, James was a Managing Director at the Fosun Group, in the China Momentum Fund, a private equity platform managing two funds totaling $1.6 billion. He focused on investing in both private and public equity in global consumer products, healthcare, industrial, and technology companies.
Prior to Fosun, James was a Managing Director at MTN Capital Partners, an operationally-focused independent sponsor making private equity investments across a variety of industries within the middle market. James was a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. James started his career at Bear, Stearns & Co. in its corporate finance department working on M&A and capital raising transactions for aerospace/defense, technology, and information services companies.
James received his B.S. in Economics in 2001 from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with a dual concentration in Finance and Accounting.
